Dr. Margaret Toups purchased the practice in 2019 and moved her family to Trussville on purpose. One dentist, one team that knows you, and a conservative standard of care she holds because her name is on the door.

Dr. Margaret Toups was born in Dothan, Alabama, and spent more hours than most kids in a dental chair growing up. That time, plus a love of both science and art, pointed her toward dentistry. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in Biological Engineering, earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017, and purchased the practice in May 2019.
Her dentistry is intentionally conservative. She preserves natural tooth structure, minimizes invasive drilling, and treats the whole patient rather than chasing procedures. You will never be sold treatment you do not need. What you will get is honest education, transparent communication, and a plan customized to your long-term oral health. And if the dentist’s office has ever scared you, you are exactly who this practice was built for. In her words, every good visit is one step closer to erasing the bad ones.
She and her husband Jordan moved their family to Trussville when they bought the practice, and they have been all in ever since. They are members of First Baptist Church Trussville, where they both teach Sunday school, and their three children, Claire, Daniel, and Will, keep them at ballfields, recitals, and school events most nights of the week. On fall Saturdays, the whole family has cowbells in hand for Mississippi State, where she and Jordan both went to school.
